A gamified approach to teach CPR and AED skills in schools and workplaces
CardiacCrash is a dynamic, interactive program that teaches participants hands-only CPR and AED skills in less than an hour. The Canadian-made program can be delivered to a class of up to 40 participants and leads them through an emotional, true-to-life cardiac arrest scenario. It can also be delivered virtually.
Participants, divided in two teams, compete in this gamified program to develop life-saving skills and promote team-building. Research has shown that this type of learning design is more engaging and effective at acquiring and retaining skills and knowledge. This is not a certification course.
CardiacCrash for Workplaces is placed in an office setting. This version features a woman experiencing cardiac arrest and spotlights the reluctance of bystanders to perform CPR on women. A woman experiencing cardiac arrest in a public place is less likely to receive CPR than a man. Intended for mature audiences. (Note: film features a female victim in a bra.)
